Why does it matter where we start letters and whether or not we push them up or pull them down?
The best answer I can find is from folks who have done a lot of research and say that the Zaner-Bloser style of letter formation is the fastest and most legible. Alpine District supports the Zaner-Bloser style. I have found that kids who learn to form their letters in this way, usually are able to write faster, with more ease and with greater legibility.

It is also very helpful to use the letter formation prompts and other resources below. Use whatever resource works best for your child. However, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT NO LETTERS START AT THE BOTTOM!
